Strange text appearing with display of social buttons

When selecting one option for displaying social share buttons, I get strange text appearing next to the buttons.

That text looks like it's coming from Facebook. See Facebook's social plugin configuration for the "Standard" layout type. Try switching the layout type of the like button to something other than standard and that should get rid of the text.

Also, I've asked before about getting social sharing icons that are grey or black, and you've said this is not available. I've since found this:

Any chance you could offer the same for your icons?

Right now, we don't package any additional icons as we try to follow the social networks' guidelines for buttons, which are usually picky about colors. Providers such as Facebook sometimes ban or unpublish your applications based on a negative experience that violates their guidelines. However, to get around this, we provide the ability in JFBConnect/SCLogin to drop in your own buttons as described here . I will add an issue to our tracker to investigate which types of new button styles that we can add that will stay within the guidelines. I hope this helps explain but we should look into additional buttons in the future.
