OK, this isn't a feature that I was thinking about, but since its integrated I thought I'd implemented. Can't be that hard......right?

I am using this as the guide: www.sourcecoast.com/easyblog/facebook-me...omer-chat-for-joomla

I'm lost on the first section where it says:

Facebook App Settings
First set up your Page to allow messages from your website. In the Application > General section, turn on the ability for customers to message your Page privately.

When I look in the settings for my JFBC login app, I can't any settings that talk about messaging at all. I do see an option to ADD a "product" called "Messenger". When I clicked on that it asks for use cases etc. I stopped before I got too far down that rabbit hole.

Should I be looking at my existing default JFBConnect app or a different one for messaging or.....

Is there a direct URL to the settings page where I would find this setting? For example:

developers.facebook.com/apps/XXXXXXXXXXXXX/settings/advanced/

Appreciate the help!

PS: How do I see the demo of this? I am logged into the SourceCoast site and I don't see any chat widget.

Ahh.. I think I see the confusion. The "Facebook App Settings" is wrong. The setting to enable Messenger is in your Facebook *Page*, not the Application that needs to be setup for authentication and such.

Proper steps (to be updated in that post shortly):
* Go to your Facebook *Page*
* Click the Settings button in the top right
* In the long list of settings on the left, click General (it's the default)
* In the long list of settings that shows, finded the "Messenger" one towards the top.
* Click Edit, check the box to allow people to contact you and save.

No such direct URL, but it should look like:

www.facebook.com/SourceCoast/settings/?t...ection=messages&view

Where SourceCoast is our Page name.. replace with yours.

Finally, if you don't see a widget on our site, it's likely because you have a adblock/tracking blocker extension that's preventing Facebook from loading. Ain't nothing we can do about that! :D It definitely works though.. we've been getting test messages all morning, which is good.. I think..

Thanks,
Alex
