Facebook App Review was created by chramb1
I submitted to Facebook App Review, and was rejected for manage_pages and publish_pages. They said they see no user need for this on my site.

Do I need them? I had them previously, but now they want re-approval it would seem.

Your screencast doesn't show how the use of this permission directly improves the user experience in your app. Unfortunately, we also weren't able to determine this from testing your app manually.
All permissions data must be visibly used within your app. We do not accept permission requests for data that you may decide to use later.
Please see our Examples page to learn more about making and submitting a successful screencast.

JFBConnect uses the manage_pages and publish_pages for our Channels feature. In almost all sites, the way we use that permission is only for admins of your site, who are usually admins of your Facebook App. We don't request those permissions from general users that register to your site because we (somewhat intentionally) don't make it easy to setup channels for your users.. only for the pages you (the admin) actively manage.

Facebook doesn't require admins of your app to go through the Review process. You only need to get permissions approved that are going to be requested of visitors to your site.

With that mouthful said, you likely don't need to go through the approval process for those permissions. If the Channels feature in JFBConnect works how you want it to already, then you should be good to go.

I hope that helps explain, but should you have any other questions, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
