On my frontpage the og:url is wrong.
It is like this:
og:url	https://www.nightmusic-dj-supply.com/https://www.nightmusic-dj-supply.com
It has to be only one time!

All other static pages are working well.
Some pages created with YouthemePro are showing the same issues.

Can you give me a solution to solve that problem?
Iam using JFBConnect V7.2.4 and Joomla 3.8.6.

A few things:

* Can you turn on the 'Enable Social Toolbar' setting in JFBConnect backend > Configuration > General area? Then log in on the front-end with a super user and click on the 'Social Meta' button in the toolbar. Let us know where the og:url tag origin is.
* Do you have any defaults set in the JFBConnect backend > Social Meta > Configuration tab for the "Defaults" setting
* Do you have any SEF extensions enabled on your site?

Let us know these and that'll help us start to narrow down the issue.

I have sh404sef enabled on the site. But also if i disabled the component, it is the same problem.

Bye the way, the site is multilanguage.

Thanks for your help.

René,
Sorry for the delay. From what your showing (and what we see on the front-end of your site), we have no idea as to what's going on :)

Can you private message us admin credentials for your site? Once we have those, we can turn on/off different settings to at least narrow down what is different about your site to cause the url to be duplicated.

You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my name to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

I'm so sorry for the delay. The changes with Facebook have been rapid and we really wanted to get an update out to clean up any problem areas that a lot of users could experience.

I'll be looking into this issue later tonight. I know you sent me admin credentials. I'm not sure if I'll need them, but if you can send FTP credentials as well, that may help just in case. It's really just a matter of narrowing down what other extension is likely causing a conflict. Usually, that's possible with super admin access, I just don't want to have anything get in the way if I can avoid it.

Thanks,
Alex

On investigation, the System - Language Filter plugin seems to be related to the problem. If we disable that, the double URL goes away. Obviously, that has other impacts. Disabling sh404SEF or other URL altering things (that we could find) don't seem to impact the og:url on the home page.. it's still duplicated. So, there's something with the Language Filter that seems to be effecting your home page only.

Your home page is setup as a featured blog view. I really don't want to touch the configuration of your site too much, but would it be possible to quickly switch to a specific article or other view to see if the same issue persists? That will help us narrow down if the problem is with the featured view itself or something in the language filter being on the home page.

From quick tests on our own development sites, we can't recreate this in either configuration.. so just need to try to figure out what's different about yours.

If you have any other details on specific multi-lingual settings you may be using, that could help as well.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for your answer.
I checked it with another article for the english homepage and with another template.
Both same results.
Iam not sure what you mean with featured blog layout.
It is an article on all different homepages made with yootheme pro.
Can you explain this?

I do not know, what to do now.

Some other information:
If I linked the menu entry for the english homepage to something which is not an article, for example the cart of J2Store or to the user profile, the homepage in go:url is correct.
I do not know why. But it seems it is important for you.

Knowing that it's only with a content view was definitely helpful as we could narrow in further on specific plugins just for content.

In doing so, we've found that it's this specific plugin that is causing the duplicated URL:
System - J2Store Canonical

I tried to change the "I am using" setting between Joomla content and J2Store pages as the URL, but neither made a difference. I also tried to re-order that plugin to be earlier or later in execution in relation to JFBConnect, sh404SEF and anything else that touches URL generation. Ordering had no effect either.

I'm not sure what that plugin does or how/why it's changing what JFBConnect sees as the proper URL for the page. Is that plugin necessary for operation? Can you explain it's purpose a bit more? We may need to get the J2Store developers to assist on this as well. Knowing if you need it though, I can look at the contents of the plugin to see if I can understand things more clearly as well, but that's not always straightforward for another developer's code.

We're definitely on the right track though.

Thanks,
Alex
