JFBConnect supports the User - Profile plugin that's included with JFBConnect. That profile ability of Joomla doesn't support avatars, so we can't import an avatar into the basic profile that Joomla provides.
Joomla 3.8 includes a new custom fields ability, which JFBConnect does not support yet.
To enable importing profile data into the User - Profile plugin, you can enable the Social Profile - Joomla plugin and configure the data import in the JFBConnect -> Profiles admin area.
There are also many other 3rd party profile extensions that JFBConnect supports for importing profile data and avatar.
