About 10 days ago I updated to Joomla 3.7.5. Since then, no users can update anything from the front end. Please see thread on the Joomla forum for further info...

I now believe this to be JFBConnect related. Logins continue to work, so it appears, from all offered social media methods. The user is shown as logged in on the back end. Here is what happens:

* Articles -- Click on the edit icon. Article gets checked out. Page refreshes to show all articles in the category, rather than the edit window for the desired article. Clicking on the Edit link next to an article in the category list just loops back to itself.

* Contacts -- No e-mail gets sent. (But an e-mail test from the Back End works.)

* EasyBlog posts -- Opens for editing, allows edits, but does not save.

* Joomla Event Manager (JEM) -- Opens for editing/adding Venues or Events, but upon save, work is not saved.

All permissions seem fine everywhere I look. But today I found this in the PHP error log, occurring each time an edit is attempted:

#Fields: date time priority clientip category message
2012-09-17 13:24:11 INFO x.x.x.x Joomla FAILURE: Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

This is happening for ALL users. To reiterate, the front end shows the user successful login (welcome module) and back end shows them as logged in. Why is the above error generated upon attempt to edit? (One other user reported the same issue.)

I just read through that entire thread. I'm unsure how JFBConnect is related to this, but will gladly help you to narrow it down quickly if so. First off, we've heard no other reports of this from other users, which means it's not a widespread issue whether it's related to JFBConnect or not.

The first step to narrow down if this is caused by JFBConnect is to disable JFBConnect completely. To do this, all you need to do is disable the following plugins:
* JFBCSystem
* JFBCAuthentication
* JFBCUser

There are other plugins with JFBConnect (Profiles and Open Graph), but they won't be used if the JFBCSystem plugin is disabled.

Once those are off, try to login on the front-end again with your super admin credentials. If you still can't, then the issue is not related to anything JFBConnect is doing on your site. If you *are* able to login, let us know and we'll gladly dive even deeper into this.

Thanks,
Alex
