Hi Alex
I bought JFBConnect last week and I am very please with the product. I was able to create a user for myself through the "Facebook log in button" I can post on facebook and see my facebook activity om my website. But I have a problem. I added a new channel for a new user, so I received the following message "The selected user has not granted the "manage_pages" permission. Please have them login on the front-end of the site and accept the correct permission." So when the user tried to login with facebook at the frontend it fails after about 10 seconds with this message "The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies." So now I am confused, I tried the same process with another user and I received the same error. I was able to do the process for myself, why can't I add new users?

I am using Joomla 3.7.4. I have been reading your forum posts the whole weekend trying so many different things to fix the problem, but it is still not working.
What I have tried:
1. I checked JFBConnect User and JFBConnect Authentication plugins are both enabled. I enabled all the JFBConnect plugins and modules, just to be safe.
2. I did turn off SEO, but it didnt help.
3. I disabled the Securitycheck component, still the same error as mentioned above.
4. Disable the "Automatically Login Facebook Users" setting.

I would really appreciate your help, not sure what to try next.

You are welcome to try it for yourself wieisekbeta.ncomp.co.za/
It is an Afrikaans site and you will find the "Facebook log in button" underneath KONTAK (dropdown facebook)

Best regards
Elize

To ask the manage_pages permission from a user, either of the following must be true:
a) The user must be a admin or developer (not just a standard user) of your Facebook Application
b) You must have gone through the submission process for the manage_pages permission in the Facebook Developer Area so that permission can be requested from regular users (not just admins or developers of your app).

If one of those isn't satisfied, the loop happens. Yes, we could handle that better, but basically, the user is getting logged in but FB won't allow us to prompt them for that permission and JFBConnect gets confused and tries again.

I hope that helps explain, but if you need anything else, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you very much! Problem solved!
Because we are only a few people who will use this, I just added their accounts on my Roles tab in my App dashboard.

Awesome! That's generally the best solution because it's unlikely you're creating channels for general users to your site.. but we've seen people do some crazy things with JFBConnect, so you never know.

I'm glad you got things going though and should you need anything else, just let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
