Hi there,
I was trying to place a JFBCfriends module on the home page of my site which is using a Gantry5 framework from RocketTheme. I made sure the module was published and set to display on the home page. Instead, I get this message:
"JFBConnect not found. Please reinstall."
where the module is supposed to be. See:
screencast.com/t/imtcGbWk

Here is the module setting showing the home page is set to display.

Here is a shot of the module setting showing it is published:

The site is at ostlive.com/goodtalktnt/

Thanks for your help.

JFBCFriends is no longer supported/compatible with JFBConnect. The Friends social widget was also removed from Facebook's social plugins.

The most comparable feature would be to use our SCSocialWidget module and select the 'Page Plugin' feature. If you check the option to show friend's faces, you'll see the profile photos of friends who have liked the specified Facebook page.

Ok. I guess the module was just left over from the earlier version of JFBconnect. Are there any other modules I should delete?

Also, just tried your suggestion, module published on the home page, and there is clearly something in the space but nothing showing. See:

Here's a video showing the widget configuration:

The problem that you're having now is that you have not set the Page URL in the module parameters. The Page Plugin widget lets you embed a Facebook Page onto your site. If you don't specify one, there will not be anything to display. Here's the FB documentation for this widget.

Thinking back on it (and it's been awhile since this module has been around), but I believe the JFBCFriends module was for friends that liked URLs on your site. The Page plugin is intended for a Facebook Page, not a page on your site. So my previous suggestion of Page Plugin should be changed to the Like Button. The

If you're intending for to see who likes a specific URL on your website, then you'll have to use the SCSocialWidget module with the "Like Button" widget selected. If you choose to use the URL blank for that widget, the current URL that the module is displayed for will be used. Otherwise, if you specify a specific URL, that URL will be used, regardless of the current URL. The Like Button does also have a setting for displaying friends that have liked the specified URL.

I hope this helps clarify.

Thanks. Helpful as usual. The "Like box" option says it's deprecated (curious it's still in the drop down). See:

I put in my page on facebook and what I originally wanted (the number of friends I have who like my Facebook page) shows up but with a huge blank space below.

Like Box just uses the Page Plugin widget. The widget it originally used was removed by Facebook, but yes we should get ride of that entry from the list :)

Have you tried setting the height in the widget settings? Inspecting that widget on your page shows that it only has 200px.

I played around with decreasing and increasing the height and there still is a huge gap between the scsocialwidget module and the one below.
See

Will play around and see if there is something I'm not getting with the theme I'm using that could solve the problem. Will let you know.

Thanks.

All right let me know. I don't see the page plugin on the page so can't inspect it to see if there's an easy css change. If you have it on a sub-page, please let me know a specific URL where I can find the module now.

The folks at RocketTheme explained what's happening so it's all good. Thanks much for your help.
