Hi guys,
Joomla 3.7.2 + JFBConnect 7.2.0
In Extensions > Update: "Clear Cache", then "Find Updates", I have back:
Warning
- Update: Could not open update site #7 "SCLogin Updates", URL: www.sourcecoast.com/updates/sclogin.xml
- Update: Could not open update site #23 "JFBConnect Updates", URL: www.sourcecoast.com/updates/jfbconnect.xml
- ...etc.

Following Mel's instructions I updated JFBConnect manually installing the last installation package for JFBConnect 7.2.1, but nothing is changed, the problem is still there...

Please, Can you help me on solve it ?

If you click those links, you can see that they do work. I'm unsure why you're getting a failure notice about doing that, but either way, the manual update method of installing the zip file leads to the same result of the update being applied.

As for your problem, can you let me know what issue you're currently having?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
as far as I know, till now and apparently, no problem on using JFBConnect. Only the fact that "updater advisor" is not running and consequently the joomla update feature cannot be used.

Sure, considering that the manual update method of installing the zip file leads to the same "Warning message" result, something happen and would be better investigate on it.
Is there anything I can do to give you more datas ?

What is 'update advisor'? We do have an Installer - JFBConnect plugin which you may need to enable. It should be enabled by default.

In general, I'm unsure why those links aren't working for you. Can you click them above and do they work for you? I don't know why your server wouldn't be able to visit those links, but knowing if you can will help us understand further.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
I simply mean: Joomla 3.7.2 + JFBConnect 7.2.0
In Extensions > Update: clicking "Clear Cache" and then > "Find Updates", I have back:

Warning
- Update: Could not open update site #7 "SCLogin Updates", URL: www.sourcecoast.com/updates/sclogin.xml
- Update: Could not open update site #23 "JFBConnect Updates", URL: www.sourcecoast.com/updates/jfbconnect.xml

File Attachment:

The links in the Warning are not clickables, but if I highlight them and say to find in Google the xml page is opened.
Now, seeing how is running the sourcecoast site I have an hamletic doubt: Are we forgetting the "s" ?!? www.sourcecoast.com/updates/sclogin.xml and not www.sourcecoast.com/updates/sclogin.xml ...?!?

The http vs https shouldn't matter as we perform a proper redirect and the update manager should follow those properly. No one else is reporting this issue, which also reinforces that it's not a general configuration issue on our end.

Have you tried the "Update Sites Manager" link? In there, are the sites for sourcecoast disabled?

Definitely interested to get to the bottom of this, so if you discover anything else, please let us know.
