hello,

when we developed our site with JFBConnect we tried implementing login via Instagram, but eventually decided to not use it, and deleted the Instagram Credentials from JFBConnect.

2 motny ago, Google Webmaster Console started showin Server Errors with URLs like this:
index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&task=authenticate.login&provider=instagram&return=Lw==&3cfef31edbbe54e33a966036c0106855=1

it started with 20 erros, then 200, and a few days ago it suddenly jumped to more then 3,000 server errors on desktop, and more then 500 on mobile - all with excactly the same URL as above, but with different code after the &return=Lw==& part.

the following CSV i downloaded from the Webmasters Console shows many of them:
www-lashonimi-co-il-20170520T235730Z-CrawlErrors.csv

any idea what might be causing this?

thank you

If the Instagram login ability was available on your site, then Google would have crawled the pages with the button and saved those login links. By turning Instagram login off, those links no longer work and the errors in Google Webmaster are correct.

The important thing to look for is that the origination URL no longer has the link to Instagram login option. If not, then Google will eventually realize those links are no longer there and they are invalid to keep checking. There's not anything else that can be done on our end to fix that though.

I hope that helps explain, but should you need anything else, please just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
