Hi,

We currently use JFBC for login with FB and for like/share buttons in K2 articles. This works well.

But I wonder if we could use your product for one function more. When I have published an event using component RSJoomla Events Pro with a picture and want to show this event on facebook a not wanted picture is taken from the frontpage instead of the picture I have used when created the event. Very annoying.

Here is the link to the event.

And here is what is picked up by Facebook when sharing:
File Attachment:

As you can see the picture is one taken from a slideshow on the frontpage - not the picture shown in on the event page. Other pictures I can choose when sharing are also those from the frontpage.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Claus Lücking.

The preview image is generated from Open Graph tags on your page. Looking at the source for your event, the og:image tag is not being generated by JFBConnect, so probably RSJoomla Events Pro. When I look at the url for this event in the Facebook Sharing debugger, there's a warning for the page that the specified image is not large enough because it does not meet the minimum size.

Provided og:image URL, naestved-cykel-motion.dk/components/com_...ea6c0691dee91aa.jpeg was not valid because it did not meet the minimum size constraint of 200px by 200px.

I'm not familiar with the details/configuration options for RSJoomla Events Pro but can you try increasing the image sizes for your events?

Thank you Melissa,

Your findings led me to a setting in RSJoomla Events Pro where I could enlarge the picture and that solved the issue.
