Topic-icon SClogin Register button redirects incorrectly

Hi there,

Recently installed SCLogin to PokerWinners.com Menu using Module Anywhere and while the login portion of this works well, the registration button redirects incorrectly and is not something I can figure out short of playing with the coding which as non-developer I would prefer to avoid.

Currently registration button directs to: pokerwinners.com/index.php/community/register which brings up a log-in page, but I assume it should redirect to www.pokerwinners.com/index.php/component...s/?view=registration or similar?

Any help would be appreciated

There is a Registration Component setting in the module's 'Login View Settings' tab. This would be the likely cause if it is set to JomSocial instead of Joomla. You may also want to check that the "Custom Registration Link" is set appropriately if you have that value set to Custom. This should hopefully point you in the right direction, but let us know if you continue to have problems.

Thanks for the reply. I changed the Login view settings to Joomla as you said however this still ends up directing my register attempts to the login page.

If you go to PokerWinners.com you can see the module in the menu. Hover over register and it shows the registration link as
www.pokerwinners.com/index.php/component...s/?view=registration

Click it however and I arrive at www.pokerwinners.com/index.php/component/users/?view=login

There is some form of redirect taking place therefore and I can't seem to change this anywhere. Any ideas or could someone come on teamviewer to take a look at this please?

Thanks
Mike

Yes, it does sound like there is something independent of SCLogin / JFBConnect redirecting the registration page to the login page. You can verify this by disabling the JFBCSystem plugin and checking to see whether it still occurs.

First, if you have any redirection extensions on your site, such as SH404, I would recommend looking to see whether any aliases are set up on your site for the registration page. If not, then I would go one-by-one through your system plugins and disable them to see if there's another extension causing this. If not, try disabling SEF urls and see if there is any effect. These are the usual culprits and can help narrow down the issue.
