Hi everybody,

since a long time I am using JFB Connect for Login and stuff like that. I never managed it to setup the activity-stuff. FB is just too complex for me. ;)

However, can I ask for a (paid) support, so you can set up this part for me? Here is what I like to have:

I am using EasySocial and have some events set up on my website. When a user signs up for an Event, I would like to have an activity in his timeline (as long as he accepts it) which says "Username has signed up for the Event xxx" and be connected with an image of the event and some text.

I am very open for your suggestions how you think it´s the best way to integrate it. However, the FB-Apps are just to complex for me, it´s a total mess for me and now I think it´s better I try to understand it AFTER the Basics are set up.

I am totally willing to pay for this support!
Would you do it for me?

All the best, Julian!

We don't offer paid support.. however, in this case, it's not going to be necessary at all. Facebook recently removed the ability to create custom actions and objects like JFBConnect allows you to setup. Going forward, you can only use actions and objects that are pre-defined by Facebook. You can see the list here of available objects and actions:
developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/opengraph

For more information on the removal of custom actions, like for attending an event, see their notice at the top of this page:
developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/opengraph/custom

If your content and activities on your site fit one of those defined buckets, we could help explain further. However, actions in general don't have as much power as they used too for helping to promote your site.

We're still trying to decide how to handle the new pre-defined only action and object types in JFBConnect and remove the broad customization we had. We're also considering removing the actions capability altogether.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex
