JFBConnect probably won't do everything you expect in that case. We don't have integrated support for that module. However, we do support using the title and description tags on a page to set the Open Graph tags automatically. The Open Graph tags are what Facebook uses to generate the thumbnails for your post.
We also have support for adding tags to the module that can tell Facebook how you want the page to be represented, like:
{SCOpenGraph title=Great Title for my Page}
{SCOpenGraph description=Long description for the page to show up under the title}
{SCOpenGraph image=http://site.com/link-to-image.jpg}With that in each module, you could control how Facebook would pick up the contents and display it. One caveat though is that each news post would need its own URL. If the home page just rotates news, then Facebook will never know or be able to set the right title, description and image for the page as it'd be constantly changing.
