Hello,
I have a social networking site that uses JOMSOCIAL. However, I would like site users to be able to share status updates, videos and pictures on their respective social media pages, most importantly facebook.

I came about JFBCOnnect while surfing on solution to this problem of mine but still can't figure out how to get this done.

Is there anybody in the house that can show me how to go about this?

With regards,

JFBConnect supports Open Graph Actions, which would normally have been the way to have content like you mention to automatically post to a user's Facebook account. However, Facebook recently removed the ability to use custom Open Graph Actions, so you can only use a handful of standard objects and actions and they don't support all the content types your users may share.

The only thing I can suggest for now is to use the Facebook Like and/or Share buttons in the JomSocial stream template files. With JFBConnect, adding the social buttons is pretty easy by adding tags like the below to the template files:
{SCFacebookLike}
{SCFacebookShare}
{SCTwitterShare}
I hope that helps give you some ideas on how to start, but if you need anything else, please let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

Thank you for getting back to me in time. I am pretty much excited that a solution is in view but I honestly don't know where to insert this "tags" to make them work. Would you mind pointing me in the right direction or rather prefer to have access to my website?

I await your response.

Thanks

Please check out our Common Support Questions for "How do I add Like / Share buttons to JomSocial feeds" question. This should give you a starting point for the template files to update.
