When I try to sign in with a Google account and select "Allow", I am returned to our site with the error:

"Warning
We were unable to retrieve your Google account information. Please try again."

I have turned on debugging and this error is generated:

"Error
Error code 401 received requesting access token: { "error" : "invalid_client" }."

I'm not sure what the "invalid_client" refers to, but it suggests that Google is not confirming the Google account.

I am currently working on a development subdomain, and have entered the URLs for both sites with 'www' and 'https' options too. Undoubtedly I have done something wrong, but the Google pages have changed since the documentation was published.

This is currently a Joomla 3.6.4 site.

Please advise.

The social networks are always updating their application creation process. I just updated our guide for Google . Can you try to follow the new steps in the guide again to see if you continue to have issues?
