I have followed all the procedures to set up the JFBConnect extension by completing the auto-tune method. I have an existing SSL certificate installed on my GoDaddy server.

I have placed a facebook request button from widgets module from SC for the users to invite their facebook friends on to my website. However, the user's friends does not receive any requests delivered. The request sent page shows the requests as seen in the image but there are no requests received.

Can you help me out with this?

Thanks

I have tried everything but unable to set up the request button. I can provide you with my backend details if you could set it up for me.

One of the most common problems with request not working is that the Facebook application is in the wrong category. Facebook has changed it so that requests are now only supported for the "Games" category. Please verify the category of your application.

Another issue is that the requests do not show up in the notification drop down up in the top menu bar of Facebook. In the Apps menu on the left side > click Games > click Activity tab and then you will see a list of requests.

After the category is games, please double-check the requests at this location and see if they are still missing.

Hello,

I am afraid, I haven't got the requests anywhere.

I have got some requests in the notification section on the top toolbar of the facebook which I can also see in the request section as you mentioned, but they are from other games and not from my websites.

I would like to ask you to fix this for me by taking the back end details as I have failed to configure it myself and I need it urgently.

Thanks

Please add my test Facebook account as a developer to your application. I will want to look at how your application is configured. My FB user id is 100001459784756. Also, please send me a PM to backend credentials.

Thanks for the credentials. The problem was that you did not enter your Facebook application ID and secret key into the JFBConnect backend > Configuration > Facebook area.

I published the SCSocialWidget module for Super Users and logged in on the front-end. When I attempted to use the link to pop up the request window, I received the following error:

Once I added the app id and secret key, the request sent out properly to the user.

Sorry I reopen this but i had the same problem and I fix but can you say to me if i understand right?

The point is have a request in the profile notification, the famous red number right?
Because as I see you just have the request in the application area and most of the people they never go look, is this the way?

Thank you

That's how Facebook works. They used to send notifications to the main bar with a 'jewel' notification (the red number). Unfortunately, about 2 years ago, they switched notifications to only be for 'Games' and when they did that, the notifications only go to the App Center area.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex
