Topic-icon Social channels new/edit page not displaying correctly.

After having not accessed it for quite a while I have discovered that I have a problem with the admin page to add new or edit social channels.

Example url: vgltest.com/administrator/index.php?opti...=channel&layout=edit

Instead of the fully rendered page, I get what you see in the two sample files I have uploaded. I have not accessed this option in months and I have made many site updates, changes, etc. in that time so I'm not sure where to start looking to solve this problem. Do you have any idea what might be wrong?

Thank you.

If you're using any existing channels, are they still working correctly on the front-end with pushing/pulling items with your social networks?

Can you set Error Reporting to Development mode in the Joomla Global Configuration area? My best guess is that there is a PHP error on the page that is preventing it from loading correctly. If that doesn't show an error, I'd be happy to take a look in your backend if you send me credentials (through a PM using the envelope icon under my avatar).

The channel is working just fine on the front end. And all the other configuration pages are working as well.

I'll try the development error reporting and see what I can see.

Thank you.

It didn't throw an error in development mode so I sent credentials to you for back end login.

Thanks for taking a look.

Thank you for the credentials. Looking through the files on your site, it looks as if someone has been editing and / or adding code to the JFBConnect component. Files that are in /components/com_jfbconnect/libraries/provider/facebook/channel directory are directly loaded by JFBConnect. If there are any problems / PHP errors in these files, you will have problems. On your site, there are extra files that are not from us: current_page.php and vgi_page.php. We recommend to remove any files that you've created, especially in any of the channels directories. If you're still having problems after that, we would recommend to do a clean reinstall of JFBConnect.

I modified the page.php under Alex's direction months ago to solve a problem that we were having. The current_page.php and vgl_page.php are backup copies I made. I'm kind of new to php work so I guess I didn't realize that anything would interact with them names as they were. I've moved them out of the folder and it did indeed fix the problem.

Thanks for your help.

No problem, glad it was as simple a fix as just removing the files. Let us know if you run into any further problems.
