I have run out of ideas so I am pleading for mercy. If this would not have anything to do with SCLogin, that would be fine. The registration form was created with Easy Profile, but there is an option to to create an account through the social Media credentials provided by JFBConnect.

All I want to do at this point is to start eliminating possibilities.

The problem was the Terms and Service Agreement checkbox not registering a ckeck/tick with the Joomla User Profile pluigin. Have no idea why.

Does the registration fail with just a standard Joomla user or also with social network credentials? Are there any error messages?

Basically, the first step we'd recommend to eliminate JFBConnect/SCLogin as the culprit would be to disable the JFBConnect system, user and authentication plugins. If the problem still happens, then I would try disabling the Easy Profile plugins and see if there are any changes. Then keep systematically work through disabling your plugins to see if there are any effects. You can also experiment with changing the order the plugins as well.

I see you successfully logged in.

The problem was with the state of a single checkbox field for accepting terms and conditions was not being passed to the Joomla User Profile Plugin and that field was defined in Easy Profile.

I am going to install MembershipPro and will uninstall EasyProfile and then the registration is going to be completely redone. I will just leave off accepting terms and conditions until then. Nothing really wrong with EasyProfile, I just need the membership capabilities of MembershipPro. This problem probably had something to do with my addling an additional class to the field so that I could style it independently of the rest of the form. It worked, but then on update, my customization probably caused a problem.

The way things go is that something works, then updates come along and it doesn't work, then I fix that, then other updates come along an something else doesn't work, and then I fix that, and on and on.

I am also going to change login / registration to look more like it does on the SourceCoast page. I like that, neat and tidy.

But thanks so much for taking a look.

No problem, sometimes fitting together all the pieces can be a bit cumbersome and time consuming. Let us know if you run into any other problems that you think are related to JFBConnect or SCLogin.

Thanks Melisa, it help just to have someone to bounce issues off of. You have no idea how many times I thought of the solution to a problem when trying to explain it to tech support. And when I am trying to describe those issue to you and Alex, which forces me to think about what exactly I am asking, those ideas seem to come more readily.

I just learned that Google has changed its API policy which caused Google Maps to stop working on my sites. So I am going to have to go in and create credentials I didn't have before. This wouldn't have come up except that we changed our domain for our primary site and that caused Google's new policy to be enforced against instantly.

Google does what Google wants.. and we all have to play along :) At least you figured out that issue.

We hope everything goes smoothly from here, but if you need anything else, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

I still can't get the feeds from Facebook and Twitter to display in the module and I can't get a prompt so that the Facebook user can validate their email.

If your Facebook issues are different than the problems in your other thread, we will need more details. Could you describe the problem you're having with Twitter and let us know how your channel is set up in the backend/any error messages that you're encountering?

I can't get a prompt so that the Facebook user can validate their email.

Are you meaning that social authentication with Facebook is not happening correctly? I tried to test on your new page to see what's happening but receive an error that my IP is not whitelisted, so I'll need more details such as:
* What page are you seeing this on
* What are the exact steps that you're performing
* Are you talking about a Facebook prompt or something else?
* Do you have automatic registration enabled?
* etc.

This is what I get for Facebook login: "URL Blocked: This redirect failed because the redirect URI is not whitelisted in the app’s Client OAuth Settings. Make sure Client and Web OAuth Login are on and add all your app domains as Valid OAuth Redirect URIs."

But I think we should just take this over to the other thread, no sense having two running.
