Dear Support,

i will post Events from HP directly to Social Media. i created in OpenGraph a object as attached. Then i integrated this object for test in LinkedIn Channel as attached. With normal Articles is working but with jEvents this will not work. Is there any hint how to handle this? I'm using Search Engine Friendly URLs, which is not changeable; SEO against Technical :(

The second question is how to integrate the social buttons in jEvents. easy ? Can you support there ?

Unfortunately, the Custom open graph types don't have a method to perform auto-posting. There's a lot involved in creating an auto-post. JFBConnect needs to be able to monitor the specific extension for save events, when an item moves to a public/viewable state (published) and properly generate the URL for each item that is being published.

The Open Graph - Custom plugin is meant for setting Open Graph tags on a wide swath of content, but it doesn't necessarily know what that content is.

To support other extensions, we'd need to create an Open Graph plugin specifically for that extension. The next few releases of JFBConnect will all be on further integration with 3rd party extensions.

I hope that helps,
Alex

We have added it to our to-do list to not show objects in the "Autopost" dropdown that can't actually be autoposted to. That's an obvious error on our part, but shouldn't hurt anything.

JEvents is on our to-do list for Open Graph integration as well, so you know.

Thanks,
Alex

Glad we could help explain and sorry for the confusion with that setting in the Autopost area.

As always, if you have any other feedback or suggestions for us or JFBConnect, please let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
