Yeah, that's the way to set per-page Open Graph tags with JFBConnect. You can do it with a custom HTML module, a template override, or any other way that works for you to get the tag on the page.

We've thought long and hard about better ways to do it, but nothing, compatible with all extensions, has really come to mind. We don't want to create a whole listing of every page available on your site to set tags that way (there are SEO/SEF extensions that do that though) and there's not an easy text box for every component view we can use to let you add a tag that way. We're always open to suggestions though on what you'd like to see.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for that... I'll give it some more thought...

In the meantime, how do we resolve this one:

Warnings That Should Be Fixed
Inferred Property The 'og:description' property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.

That message means that the description and image Open Graph tags haven't been set on whatever page you are scanning. You'll need to either have one set automatically, if available, or use the Easy-Tag above on those pages where it's missing.

If you're seeing that in an extension that our Open Graph plugins support, let us know what view it is in so we can determine if there's an automatic tag we can try to generate for those views.

Alex

Alex, it is relating to EasySocial and EasyBlog pages:

ES - www.opgroeigids.nl/community
EB - www.opgroeigids.nl/leeshoek

Something is not right on our site with these Open Graph stuff... ;-(

Thanks for letting us know the specific pages. For our Open Graph plugins, we could try to automate the description and image for those pages.. however, I'm not sure the best place to start. Does EasySocial or EasyBlog have a general description setting for the community or blog? Is there a general image that you can set within those extensions to be used on the home page somewhere? In general, if we're going to automate it, we'd need to be able to look somewhere in those extensions for use to pull those defaults to set them.

Beyond that, the only recommendation I can give is the Open Graph Easy Tags mentioned above.

Thanks,
Alex
