Hello,

sorry but I think there is a trick when Facebook doesn't select the first picture, when we post a article on Facebook.
But I don't remember how to do ?

example here :

Can you help me please ?

Thank you.

Regard.

Looking at the source on the page, there are no og:image tags. You can add it by creating an Open Graph object in our backend for the article's category, manually adding an SCOpenGraph easy-tag to the page or adding a default image when no other og:image tags are on the page. For more details on how to set these, please see our documentation here . After following these steps and re-scraping your pages on the FB Open Graph Debugger , please let us know if you still have problems/questions

Hello,

thank but if I take a URL (who never be posted on Facebook) and paste it on the Facebook developper link
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

The first time, there is not image in "When shared, this is what will be included"

I need to click on "fetch new scrape information" to see the right image...

What can I do to fix it ?

Thank you.

Regard.

ps : test with this link for example

Facebook automatically re-scrapes the pages of your site every week or so. For some content and sites, that can happen much quicker. If your site is new, doesn't have content updated often or doesn't have content that is shared frequently, it can take Facebook even longer to re-scrape existing content (and find new or updated tags) or scrape new content for the first time. We have no method to force Facebook to scrape content right when it becomes available.

All JFBConnect can do is set the Open Graph tags so that when they do fetch your page (either automatically or by you forcing it in the Debug Tool), they see the right information for your page.

I hope that helps explain. What you describe is the normal process for how Facebook works.

Thanks,
Alex

Yes yes, thank you very much for this great explanation.

So, to be sure, when we create a new article, it is best to put the article (URL) in the debug tools to force Facebook to scrape our content ?

Doing that is the best way to ensure the Open Graph data is seen by Facebook. It's a good idea to do that for a little while as you add new content and grow your site. After a while, it simply depends on how quickly you want that data to show.

Thanks,
Alex
