Choose group on registration

When you say "Group", do you mean like a JomSocial community group or a registration / profile type? We support the profile type option, but not a method of joining a community group on registration. I'm not sure how you'd want this to work, and likely not something we'd implement. Some sites have hundreds of groups. Listing them on during the registration process could be tedious and confusing.

If nothing else, I'd recommend setting the New User Registration page to a listing of your groups or a custom article which describes your groups and why/how to sign up for them.

Gotcha. In the next release, we'll have an option to configure what group users are included in when they register with a social network. Unfortunately, we won't have that as an option the user can choose during the registration process. That's a difficult feature to add as there's a lot of security implications to consider when the user's can choose their own group. It is something we want to add in a future release, and the automatic inclusion in a group is the first step in that direction. I don't have a time on when we'd get to the user-selection point though.
