Hi,

I would like to insert JFBCLike plugin on all Virtuemart pages: Seller, Product Details, Categories. Unfortunately modules don't suit my needs.

I've tried to include the "{JFBCLike}" just below the title but it wont parse it correctly.

Here's my website: www.molinoarredamenti.it

Can you please provide me detailed instructions in order to do this? As a feature request, a natively working Virtuemart plugin would be very nice to have.

Thank you in advance.

What happens when you try the {JFBCLike} tag? You mention it doesn't parse correctly, but we'll need more details on what is, or isn't, happening. I looked at the page you linked to and could see any tags or the underlying HTML for the Like button. If it's on a sub-page, let us know a specific one we can see the tag on so we can investigate further.

As for the module, I understand you said one won't work for you. I'm assuming that's because you don't have a module position in the right spot, but either way, I wanted to make sure you knew about the JFBCSocialShare module which can add the sharing buttons. It can also be used to create the 'floating' bar of buttons like on the bottom page of this site.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying. I Could finally include the button in Virtuemart items and in a few modules as well. However now they are not working anymore.

I have a few JFBCFollow and JFBCLike in place but they are not linked to facebook (no real actions on facebook site). Meanwhile Login and share feature have no issues.

Any clue on this one?

Thank you in advance,
Luca

I'm glad to hear the login features are working well. That's usually the most complicated :)

As for the Follow and Like buttons, can you let us know how you've set them up and where we can see a page they are used on? Without seeing what's going wrong or knowing what you're trying to configure, it's a bit difficult to provide many answers.

Let us know and we'll gladly help get to the bottom of things.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,

I've included website url in the first post of this thread.

You can see the {JFBCFollow} tag in the homepage popup (module) and {JFBCLike} and {JFBCFollow} in the following pages:

www.molinoarredamenti.it/index.php/it/ar...cucine-cagliari.html
www.molinoarredamenti.it/index.php/it/arredo-completo.html
www.molinoarredamenti.it/index.php/it/mo...divani-cagliari.html
www.molinoarredamenti.it/index.php/it/di...o-oliver-prezzo.html

However you can see JFBCLike plugin on every page of this website.
Looking forward to her you soon :)

Thanks,
Luca

It looks like you have set the Follow plugin at a Facebook page for www.facebook.com/molino.arredamenti, but this is not allowed. The follow widget is only for personal profiles. When you click on the follow button when it's pointing to that page, you get an Error that the subscription is not allowed. Instead, you should be using the Facebook Page Plugin for following a page.

Could you describe more specifically the problems you're having with the Like buttons? I was able to like this article with no problem.

Thank you Melissa,

I've removed follow button and replaced it with Page Plugin. I've also put share and send buttons on most pages.
I'm still experiencing the mentioned issue with like button. If you go to www.molinoarredamenti.it/index.php/it/Ar...o/arredo-outlet.html you can like it and apparently works, however if you double check your FB profile you can see there is no post or comment.

I hope this explanation will help you to understand what is happening.

Thanks,
Luca

The URL above leads to a 404 page. In any case, your explanation helps clarify things. When a user clicks the Like button, there's no guarantee that it goes into their Facebook timeline / news feed.

Please go to your Facebook page and click the "View Activity Log" button in the lower right of your cover photo. You should see an entry that the Like was clicked there. The activity log is where all actions are tracked. It's up to Facebook's algorithms as to how and where the Like should show, and that's not guaranteed to be on your timeline.

I hope that helps explain, but let us know if you need something else,
Alex
