JFBConnect automatically detects which third party extensions you have on your site at the time of the install and only installs the appropriate ones. Since Kunena wasn't present when JFBConnect was installed, we didn't install the Social Profiles - Kunena plugin.
You can do either of those options that you mention.
* You can simply reinstall JFBConnect and it will detect that Kunena is installed and will automatically install the plugin. As long as you haven't customized any code in our files besides themes, this shouldn't cause a problem. Of course, we always suggest doing a backup before any installation.
* You can manually install the plugin; you can find it in the JFBConnect installation zip file. If you unzip, it should be located in packages/plugins/socialprofiles/kunena.php.
