Hello,

I used JFBC on past projects and really liked it for its features and ease of use. However there is one problem that stopped me from using it in more recent projects: every time there is a social share / login button and the sharing code snippets gets loaded user information is sent to facebook, twitter, google just by visiting the url. And that is something that many users are not happy about that at all.

Is there an option or are there any future plans to only load the snippets on demand. For some time there existed '2-click' Solutions (basically only when a user clicked in the area the snippet would be loaded and the button visible), but now there are even more userfriendly solutions such as Shariff github.com/heiseonline/shariff - here a server-side component fetches the number like likes, tweets etc.

If I missed the option please let me know - otherwise it would be great if such enhanced privacy options could be included in future JFBC versions.

We don't have anything like that implemented right now. In all honesty, it hasn't been a often requested feature. Users that are concerned about those issues generally use browser add-ons that prevent those buttons from loading altogether. Users that aren't concerned see the click-through as an extra hoop, since just about every other site loads them automatically.

I do appreciate pointing out some of the new share-gates out there. I hadn't see Shariff, which looks really cool. In general though, it's unlikely that we'll be implementing these features soon.

Thanks,
Alex
