Trying to create a Facebook Group channel.

User is selected and I get to the point where it says this:
The selected user has not granted the "user_groups" permission. Please have them login on the front-end of the site and accept the correct permission.

So I try to login as the user, using the Facebook login, and I am redirected to facebook and this error pops-up:
Invalid Scopes: user_groups. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions

My only option is to click "Okay"
If I do, the page just loops back to the same error message and pop-up.
This will repeat over and over, everytime I click okay.
The only way out is for me to close the browser, but this still doesn't make the channel work.

Please help :)

Facebook recently made a change that looks to have changed the Groups behavior. We had a related issue that recently that we're investigating right now as well. We should have a resolution to this within a few days and will put out a new release once the change has been determined. From a quick investigation, the issue is resolvable and the change that Facebook made shouldn't prevent this functionality.

While that's not always fun to hear, if your need is critical, please let us know and we can try to provide the code change a little sooner if you want to try and implement it.

Yes please, if you could get me a code change to implement it would be very helpful.
Everything on our website is time sensitive.

I've sent you a PM with details on a code fix. We've already been testing it, but would like to get your feedback before we incorporate it into the next release. This behavior seems to affect newer applications only, which is why we haven't been aware of the issue before. Please let us know how the changes work for you.

Great, glad to hear that worked for you. I still need to do more testing to make sure it hasn't broken old applications before I check in the changes, so let me know if any further issues arise with the group channels.
