Where are you redirected to with the 404 error? Usually, when this happens, it's caused by another extension detecting the incorrect login and trying to redirect to their own login page.. and that page is having the error.

If the 404 error page is *not* the Joomla user login page, then you'll need to determine what is redirecting to a different page and determine why it's doing it incorrectly.

Other recommendations are:
* Test with SEF URLs disabled as that will help you see the destination component more easily.
* Try the standard Joomla Login Module (mod_login) to see if you have the same behavior. If so, this is not related to JFBConnect at all.

I hope that helps, but if not, please let us know the URL that you are being redirected to that has a 404 and we'll help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex
