Hi

Just noticed that any article on our site that had face book likes and comments have all gone missing. Like a new install of JFB Connect. Every article is now blank in comments sections boxes and no likes in any past articles.

Please provide an exact URL so that we can inspect the source and also see if there are any javascript errors.

Looking through the Autotune logs, it looks like you used to use a different domain (www.denttechsglobal.com). That domain now redirects to the URLs mentioned above with denttechsmagazine.com

All social sharing and comments are tied to a specific URL. If you changed the domain, or even the path, to an article, then the comments will still be associated with that 'old', non-functioning URL. There's no way to tell Facebook to attribute those old shares or comments to a new URL. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do in this situation unless you want to revert back to your old domain.

On a separate note, I see your site supports both http and https. I'd recommend using the "Force Scheme" setting in JFBConnect to select whether all sharing URLs use http or https. Otherwise, you can further divide your shares and comments where some will be set on http and others on https and they won't be linked to each other in any way (again, the URL is different).

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Thanks Alex;

The domain change was done over a month ago and everything changed on face book and JFB connect to reflect the domain change. All comments and likes were working fine all this time until the past couple of days. There is a redirect set so old or past articles on denttechsglobal.com still work and can be seen. But now everything with social media and domain is setup as denttechsmagazine.com

Facebook doesn't have any method to redirect old comments to a new page. I'm not sure how the old comments would have possibly been moved over as that's never been the case and it would be very ripe for abuse if you could get people to comment on page 'a' and then, at some later date, move those comments over to an entirely different site/page 'b' which may not be related. Per Facebook's own Comment Plugin documentation:

The absolute URL that comments posted in the plugin will be permanently associated with. Stories on Facebook about comments posted in the plugin will link to this URL.

developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/comments
Notice the 'permanently associated with' text.

I was never able to see the comments on the new site, but from the above, I don't know how they would have transferred. That is simply an issue with using Facebook and moving domains/URLs on your content.

I hope that helps explain some more,
Alex
