I have JFBconnect installed - I have a facebook user account linked to their Jomsocial Account. I have established & published a facebook channel owned by that user.

The problem is that her facebook status posts are not showing up in the Jomsocial activity stream.

FYI she has two facebook pages - her own personal page and a page for a nonprofit organization. I need only the non-profit organization facebook page status updates to appear in the Jomsocial activity stream.

Can you please help?

JFBConnect doesn't support what you're looking to do. We do have an option to import social network status from a user's personal profile into the JomSocial activity stream. We don't have a method to import posts from a Page using the Channel interface into JomSocial. The Channels feature can be used to push content from your site to a Facebook Page using the "Create Post" link in the social toolbar from admins, or can be used to pull in the feed from a Page and display it in our SCSocialStream module.

I hope that explains. Of course, if you need anything else, please let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

When I created the channel I there is an option to select "page" or "group" what is the difference there? Is a group, several users, or a facebook page for a group?

Is there a way to accomplish what I need through open graph? I'm just looking for a feed from the non-profit organization page.

If this can't be done, can I delete JFBconnect and receive a refund of my purchase price? I purchased it last Monday.

Facebook has different types of areas that can be set up to let users gather. A Page is more public that anyone can access. A Group can be restricted and setup as invite only so that it's not publicly visible.

There really isn't. The Channels feature is primarily meant for admin users to be able to push content to or display content from their Page or Group. We don't have any method to import posts from a Page or Group into 3rd party extensions. The only time we import status into JomSocial is the user's last personal status update. There are more restrictions and permissions required for pulling status from Pages that we wouldn't want to deal with for most users, including the whole Channels setup process.

Sure. Please remove JFBConnect from your site and use the Request Refund link at the bottom of any page of this site.

Thanks,
Alex
