The gist of that thread was that you can add the JFBConnect social buttons to Kunena by inserting a {JFBCLike} easy-tag into the template files. You will have to verify that the example of the file location mentioned in the thread /components/com_kunena/template/templates/blue_eagle/html/topic/default.php is valid for your version of Kunena. Other than that, yes, our advice would be the same as the easy-tag system in JFBConnect has not changed in the latest version.
