HI Guys,

Ok, I accidently deleted my entire public_html directory while trying to move the site live.
I downloaded the database.

They are restoring the account to prior to the JFB Connect Installation. What should my course of action be?
Install the extension, then restore most recent database? Can you guys give me a little bit of direction?

Thanks!

Yes,
It was a Rocket Theme site that was greatly modified, a lot of that just in the last week...very sad.

Client is having a kick-off party tonight as it was to go live :(

Hi

When i lost my site all i had was a back up file, everything was gone. I found Akeeba Kick start and I do use Akeeba back up for my sites. It worked amazing at restoring the website. Very simple and you just have to read the steps and pay attention to what your doing. A config file is place in the public html folder kickstart.php and then enter the URL they give and away you go, click enter info, really simple.

Well if you have downloaded the database before it was restored, that's a very good thing. If you can restore all of the jfbconnect tables first, and then reinstall JFBConnect, your settings should all still be there. Just verify that everything is configured in our component. You may need to reconfigure any SCLogin modules, but that's usually more of a minor task than getting the component how you'd like it.

Here's a quick list of the JFBConnect database tables, so you know which ones to restore:
#__jfbconnect_config (has most of the JFBC component settings), #__jfbconnect_user_map, #__jfbconnect_channel, , #__jfbconnect_notification, #__jfbconnect_request, #__opengraph_action, #__opengraph_action_object, #__opengraph_activity, #__opengraph_object

Let me know if you run into any problems. Sorry you have to go through this

-Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Thanks so much for that. I've never restored a portion of the DB...rather the entire thing. Do you believe that a complete restore would be ok? At least with respect to JBFConnect?

Otherwise, I guess it's not rocket science using phpmyadmin...right?

With respect to JFBConnect, I don't see a problem with restoring the entire database. Just keep in mind the order for our stuff is to restore then re-install JFBConnect. You'd have to verify that all of your other extensions are working correctly if you do the entire db.

Milissa,
Ok,

Just got this error:
Duplicate entry 'com_jfbconnect' for key 'idx_asset_name' SQL=INSERT INTO `znrtv_assets` (`name`,`title`,`rules`,`parent_id`,`level`,`lft`,`rgt`) VALUES ('com_jfbconnect','jfbconnect','{}','1','1','615','616')

Then if I just try going to components/JFBConnect, I get this:
Fatal error: Class 'SCStringUtilities' not found in /home3/thankful/public_html/anacron/administrator/components/com_jfbconnect/jfbconnect.php on line 35

Any thoughts?

I thought you restored to a point where JFBConnect was not installed and you put the database back to that state too? From that error, it looks like Joomla thinks JFBConnect is already installed. You could try uninstalling JFBConnect and then re-installing to see if that fixes the error.

Then if I just try going to components/JFBConnect, I get this:
Fatal error: Class 'SCStringUtilities' not found in /home3/thankful/public_html/anacron/administrator/components/com_jfbconnect/jfbconnect.php on line 35

The class it is looking for is in our library file. Could you verify that the /libraries/sourcecoast/utilities.php file is present and that you have enabled the SourceCoast library in your extensions manager?
