Topic-icon Open Graph Objects - assign multiple categories to an object?

Hey there. I have been using JFB Connect on a few web sites for a while and I think it's a good extension even if it's lacking in some areas.

Now I'd also like to install it on several of my clients' web sites, primarily to control Open Graph. For example, I want to use the Full Article Image in Joomla as og:image and Meta Description as og:description.

However many of these web sites have dozens of categories and thousands of articles and I find it very tedious and a waste of time to create an Open Graph object per category on so many sites. We're talking hundreds of categories altogether.

Would it be possible to create ONE object and assign it to several categories instead?

I like Joomla's approach on module assignment (All, None, Only on selected, On all except selected) - something like that would be really nice also for Open Graph objects, imo. Any chance for a quick fix on this?

The Open Graph - Content works on a hierarchy base of the categories. If you assign it to a parent category, the settings would apply to all sub-categories. Then, you could even create another object for some sub-category to override the 'parent' object for just that sub-category and it's children.

There isn't a way to select various unrelated categories and apply your settings to a sweep of categories like that though.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I wasn't aware that it would work as a hierarchy but that certainly helps! :)
