Hello,

Having a little issue with tags, not sure why. When trying to enable the JFBConnect Comments and Like settings to show on articles all that shows is the syntax text where I code is put within the article. Even when trying to use the Open Graph {JFBCAction....} syntax it does the same thing and just shows the text and not a button on the actual article. Is there a setting within JFBConnect that must be set to enable the easy-tags?

have attached

a photo with one of the articles showing the text.

Thanks

I notice in those tags that you have two key=xxxx parameters. This is invalid, since the key parameter is a special option that we use for all of the easy-tags. The value can be set in the 'Social Tag Render Key' setting found in the JFBConnect > Social > Misc tab. This value is the only one that you should be setting in the tag. Please fix this issue and let me know if the tags will not render properly still.

Thanks

That worked, the key was the issue for the comments and like plugins now I am only getting the issue when trying to manually enter an open graph actions to articles with {JFBCAction id=.....} syntax.

I have attached another photo showing how I typed the action

it inside of the article.

Depending on the editor in the backend for the article, I've seen Joomla add extra characters to the HTML. My suggestion would be to delete what you've typed (even if it doesn't look like there are any special characters), toggle the editor so you're directly editing the HTML, typing the easy-tag that way and then saving the article. I've definitely encountered this in the past myself, so let me know if this helps.

Yes, that is what I meant. Could you PM me backend credentials and, if possible, FTP credentials as well in case we need to add some debugging statements to see what is going wrong with the parsing of the tag?

The problem was that in JFBConnect > Social > 'Social Tag Admin Key' you set the setting as "key=XXXXXX". This is incorrect as you should only use "key=" in the actual easy-tag itself. I have corrected the problem for the setting. Now when you enter {JFBCAction id=1 key=XXXXXX text=I Use This}, it is parsed correctly. When I clicked the button, there were some errors in Facebook, so please make sure you configure the Objects/Actions correctly.
