I restored a copy of my main website to a subdomain and upgraded it from Joomla 2.5.x to 3.3.6 for testing. One issue I'm trying to work out is the like button not showing up, instead the code for it shows up. I"m using JFBCLike to display the like buttons. When I do error checking in autotune test 2 fails with the following;

Test: Facebook Javascript library inclusion ... Fail: Facebook Javascript library not found, but JFBCSystem plugin is detected. Please contact support if you experience issues.

I've checked the JFBSystem plugin and it is enabled, and there are no other JFB plugins that appear to be disabled. Any assistance is solving this would be wonderful and thanks :)

Yes, I see that the sdk.js Facebook library is not being included and I also see some other JFBConnect easy-tags on the page that aren't being parsed properly. Could you verify that the system cache plugin is disabled? And please try temporarily disabling caching in general to see if this helps. Let me know how this helps and we'll go from there to resolve it.

Yes, the System cache plugin was and still is disabled, and in the global configuration the system cache was also already disabled.

Could you try updating the ordering of the JFBCSystem plugin (moving it first, moving it last, etc) to see if there's any change? If that doesn't help, I would say PM me credentials to your backend so we can investigate further.

So there were a few issues on your site:

Issue 1:
You were using an old version of the JFBCLike module that is no longer supported. All of our widgets should be added via the SCSocialWidget module. In fact, there are four of your modules that were using modules of ours that no longer work:
* "Facebook Like - main" - I created a new instance of the SCSocialWidget module and configured it as the existing JFBCLike module was configured and disabled the old one. This resolved the issue of the {JFBCLike...} easy-tag showing up in the HTML instead of being parsed out correctly.
* The JFBCFeed module on the Contact Us page - I created the appropriate SCSocialWidget module, but there is a strange issue for your contact us page. See below for Issue 4. I disabled the old one.
* "Facebook Feed Contact Us" - this was in position None, so I just disabled the module.
* "Recommendations Catering Page" - Facebook no longer offers the Recommendations Bar widget so I disabled it.

Issue 2:
Please uninstall the following modules: JFBCComments, JFBCFan, JFBCFeed, JFBCFollow, JFBCFriends, JFBCLike, JFBCRecommendations, JFBCRecommendationsBar, JFBCRequest, JFBCSend, JFBCShareDialog, JFBCSharedActivity

Issue 3:
After fixing the JFBCLike tag from being inserted properly, we found that a lot of random functionality in our JFBCSystem plugin was not working. I traced it down to the "System - Core Design Scriptegrator plugin". Looking at the description, this is intended only for Joomla 2.5 and from the bug that we saw it caused, a large number of extensions on your site would behave in a flaky manner. I disabled the plugin (and it is still off). If you need it, you will need to obtain a version that works for Joomla 3.x. I do not know which of your extensions are dependent on that plugin or why you have it installed, so you will need to figure out the dependency issue.

Issue 4:
Clicking your contact us menu item brings me to an https version of the site. When I tried to edit the SCSocialWidget module for the Feed widget above, no changes that I made took effect. I am unsure if this is a completely different website, cached, or what's actually going on. Even after disabling the module, it still showed up on the contact page. Just wanted to point it out as it made no sense to us.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Issue 1 – I was unaware those old modules and recommendations bar were no longer used, nor that the SCSocialWidget was to be used in their place, so thanks for the info and help!!

Issue 2 – All those have been uninstalled thank you!!

Issue 3 – The “System - Core Design Scriptegrator plugin” was for an older extension we no longer use, so that will go bye bye thank you!

Issue 4 – I believe there was some sort of caching issue as you mentioned, but I've got that SMSocialWidget module replacement responding now. It’s not showing any 'Feed' activity for some reason, but I’ll address that if it's an issue still after the main website upgrade. The HTTPS issue was due to some scripting I had for that contact form forcing SSL, but it should be fine when I bring it up on the main domain. I did disabled for now though because that red X warning page is more annoying when company points it out ;)

I think I’m clear on everything you addressed and once again, I’m impressed and very appreciative of your timely support with my issues. That’s why I've purchased the JFBConnect subscription more than once, you're thorough, timely and very helpful. Hats off to you Melissa!! :)

I just updated the site value in the SCSocialWidget to be your domain. My guess is that the URL was including the subdomain since it was left empty, and since this was a development site, there is no activity. Just a guess, but now there is activity showing up. Later, when you do migrate live, make sure to double-check the activity.

Glad that everything was settled for you. If you do encounter any issues when you migrate to your live site, please let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a review for JFBConnect on the Joomla Extensions Directory. While it's certainly not required, we'd appreciate it.
