Hello,

I basically want to do the following: From a facebook page I'd like to get all posts and display them on my joomla site. Unless I misunderstood something - this is the social stream feature from JFBConnect. One thing that confuses me a bit in the documentation is that the Social Channel that seems to be the prequisite is for posting content to the Facebook Page. But I only want to display the posts from the facebook page in the Joomla Page - is there a way to disable the posting feature (so that noone can accidently posts something that way?) Or would the social stream module only display any posts that were made in Joomla and posted to the Facebook Page via JFBConnect (e.g. working with local data).

Jens,
The setup process is the same for connecting your site to a Facebook Page whether you just want to read from it or if you want to read and post to it.

As for posting, the only way to post to the Page is by using the Social Toolbar, which is usually only visible to super admins. You can disable it entirely though, which would prevent even super admins from seeing it.

I hope that helps explain some, but if not, just let me know. We're actually working on an updated release of JFBConnect which will make the Channel creation process easier, as it's a few steps right now that we're hoping to streamline. Of course, if you run into issues, we'll be here to help.
