Hmm.. That's very strange and not something we've heard of before. The Open Graph tags aren't being properly inserted, but other tags (the Like button) are being replaced correct.

The only other things I can suggest trying right now are:
* Re-order the JFBCSystem plugin within the system group so that it's either the first or last plugin (but before any caching or optimization plugins you may have) to execute. It's possible the ordering may fix the problem, depending on what other plugins are trying to modify the page as well.
* Try a different Joomla template, temporarily, to see if the Open Graph tags are properly inserted in the page. If so, it means there's some odd conflict with your template which we can help narrow down.

If neither of those help, I'd ask to send us super admin details for your site so we can investigate further. You can Private Message them to me by using the mail icon under my name to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry for the delay. This is definitely an in-depth issue, and no one I have a direct explanation for. I just got into your site and tested different Open Graph tags and changed settings around.

The issue is only within your Virtuemart pages. I tried adding some {SCOpenGraph ...} tags to your "About Us" page, and they were properly added to the head. There's something with Virtuemart that is causing the tags to be removed, but not added to the head of the page that we've never seen before.

Additionally, it's if the tags are used anywhere on a VM page. I tried adding the {SCOpenGraph ..} tag to a Custom HTML module that would show on every page. On non-VM pages, the tag worked. On VM pages, it didn't.

We'll have to try and recreate the issue on one of our VM dev sites. If you have any non-standard features of Virtuemart enabled, or plugins that alter VM in a way you think may be relevant, please let me know. Again, we'll be investigating, but I'm not sure when I'll have a definitive answer for you as to the problem as the result is just bizarre.

No, not yet. We've tested JFBConnect with Virtuemart on our development systems quite a bit. When adding an {SCOpenGraph ..} tag to the product description, that is properly detected and used by JFBConnect.

We haven't tried modifying the product layout files to add the tags yet. However, I don't think that's going to change the results. As asked above:

If you have any non-standard features of Virtuemart enabled, or plugins that alter VM in a way you think may be relevant, please let me know.

I'm not sure what's different, but we're testing on a base Joomla 2.5 and Virtuemart 2.6.10 release. We don't have any additional addons or plugins installed, which means less conflicts. If you have any Virtuemart add-ons or modifications on your site, please let us know what they are or test turning them off to see if that improves things.

Thanks,
Alex
