Hi Alex,

We have recently upgraded our site with the latest JFBC and our site's FB login has stopped working.
www.drishtant.com/stepone-community

The site redirection to the 'Register' page is not happening after logging in using FB details.
Please check and let us know. We will PM you the admin details.

There's a Javascript error on the page:
[code]Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'modal' all.js:79

That means the Bootstrap Javascript library isn't being loaded, as required by how you have JFBConnect configured. Please either configure your template (if possible) to load Bootstrap or enable the "Include jQuery/Bootstrap" setting in JFBConnect.

Alex,

After updating I ran into a similar issue were the Login in with Facebook is just showing the text. I double checked an the Load JQuery/Bootstrap was changed to no, so I changed that but still not sure what setting is wrong or what changed in update to cause this.

Edit: I found the issue - Changed my SCLogin Social Button Setting from javascript to Icon with Text

That setting would do it. Not sure why that would have changed during the update (unless you did it and didn't realize). Either way, glad you found the solution.

Alex,

Thanks for the response.
Now we are able to login but the option to select different profile types in Jomsocial is not working.

On selecting FB login, the user account is created with the default profile type.
How can we get back the option to select profile types when using FB login?

If you don't want the automatic account creation to occur, please go to the JFBConnect -> Configuration area and set the "Enable Automatic Registration" setting to "No".

That will bring the user through the form-based registration flow where they can select their profile type.

Thanks! The form is working now.
However there are some additional fields that appear on the 'Registration' page under the section "User Profile".
How can we disable the entire section on "User Profile"?

The extra fields are likely coming from the User - Profile plugin which is a part of Joomla itself, though disabled by default. If you don't want the extra fields, disable that plugin.

I hope that helps, but if not, let us know, and we'll gladly help you narrow down where the extra fields are coming from.

It seems that the plugin is disabled but still the extra fields are appearing.
May you please check our site's config and help to remove the extra fields in the registration form?

You can use the same admin details that we had PM'ed earlier.

I accessed your admin area and made the following changes:
1) In the JFBConnect -> Profiles -> JomSocial tab, I set "Show Profile Fields" to "None", instead of "Required Only".
2) In the Plugin Manager, I disabled the "User - Profile" plugin.

Both of those settings could have been showing extra fields on the registration form. Now there are very few fields.

Please test and make sure the registration flow works how you want, and let me know if you run into any other issues.
