Merry Christmas,

I can't setup the Google+ connection in my site (Gameworld.gr) because
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/soci...le-application-setup
reffers to an old version of the App Manager

I enable Google+ API row and then I can't do number 7.

"Next, in the left menu, click "Registered Apps""

These is no "Registered Apps" menu. I only found "APIs & auth". I Created a "New Client ID" and "New Key", used them in JFBConnect Google+ menu but they didn't work. I even tried putting the Client ID but again nothing worked.

Please provide fix in your manual and screenshots.

Thank you.

The "Registered Apps" menu item is in the "APIs & Auth" section. If you click into the "APIs & Auth" menu item and then click "Registered Apps", that should be all you need to do to follow the rest of the instructions.

Please try that, and if you still have issues, let me know what isn't working or what error messages you are getting.

Thanks,
Alex

Ok please have a look at the attached image as there is no "Registered Apps" any where.
Not in the left menu, not in the big On/Off buttons list

Sorry for that confusion. It looks like they did make a minor tweak I missed. I just updated section 7 in the guide, and that should walk you through the steps you need to take for setting up a Google Application.

I hope that helps, but if you run into other issues, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

I tried to login with Google but it automatically creates a test account and gives avatar on it's own! That's now how it should supposed to work!

users should be able to choose their own username, avatar etc.

Please provide a fix. Look at the screenshot.

Thank you.

If you want the user to pick their own username and update their avatar, please make sure you've disabled the "Enable Automatic Registration" setting in JFBConnect. Then, the users will be brought through a registration flow where they can set their own username, password and other details. If you set the "Registration Component" to "JomSocial", the user will go through the standard JomSocial registration flow with some of their data pre-filled for them.

I hope that helps you implement what you're looking for, but if not, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
