Hi there,

I think this component is awesome!

I would like to be able to change the color of the Like and Share buttons. I have searched the forum and found a solution for an older version of JFBConnect (v3.1.2) which said to edit the file: /plugins/system/jfbcsocial/fb_comments.css

However on my version 5.2.1 this path doesn't exist. I am guessing that things have moved. Can you tell me where I can find the CSS file please.

Is the Autotune issue fixed with v5.2.2 yet?

Thank You,
Happy Holidays :-)

Andy,
Very glad to hear you're liking things with JFBConnect.

As for the Like/Share buttons, there used to be a lot more flexibility that Facebook allowed in customizing the looks of those buttons. Unfortunately, that power was abused by some websites to make the buttons pretty much unrecognizable (which allowed them to be abused for click fraud). Because of that, there are tight restrictions and lots of limitations on what can be altered about their appearance.

Right now, the only options available are a "Light" and "Dark" color scheme. Beyond that, there's nothing (color-wise) you can change about the buttons. Other options are the layout (standard, button count, box count, etc), but that's it.

If there was something specific you were looking to do, let me know, and we'll gladly tell you if it's possible.. but it unlikely is :(

Yup! Sorry about that. It was fixed on our server end of Autotune, which means that a new release wasn't required. Basically, v5.2.2 had some minor updates that were required due to updates in Facebook's API. We simply forgot to upload the new version of Autotune to work with all those updates when v5.2.2 was posted. Silly mistakes!

I hope that helps, but should you have any other questions, feedback or comments, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for your quick reply Alex.

All I would have liked to do was to change the blue of the buttons to a dark orange, just so they matched the overall theme of the website. It's not a critical change, but a "nice-to-have".

Glad to hear Autotune is now working. I will put 5.2.2 back on (I had to go back to 5.2.1 for it to work).

Thanks again,
Andy.

Nope, can't change the colors. Those are part of Facebook's 'brand' and they don't want you to change them so that they are familiar and recognizable to all visitors.

Glad to hear you'll be moving back to v5.2.2. Of course, if you do run into any issues, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
