Hi there,

Tks a lot for this wonderfull component.
I am writting you here because i dont find the solution for my problems.

The first one : When i try to connect with one of the network social module i have always first the error 42 fail to upload contact com_contact_error_unique_alias. I have tried a lot solution but without succes. You need to know that i am using EasySocial and K2 and i have tried with bt login and yours login module and the problem still the same. But you need to know as well when i try again to do my request its works but nothing import to easysocial.

The second problem : Some times its working but when its works the avatar timeline etc... dont apear to easysocial its look like to creat an new account and not an associated accout.

I am very tired, i spent to many time to try found a solution and nothing. could you help me please? I will send you as well an email with admin account and ftp account.

Matt,
This error happens when you have the User - Contact Creator plugin from Joomla enabled. That will create a new contact in the Contacts component whenever a user registers. The problem is that, if you delete that user, Joomla doesn't delete the user from the Contact manager. So, when you are testing and registering and deleting accounts, that error crops up.

I'd recommend either:
a) disabling that plugin unless you really want those contacts in the Contact Component
b) Deleting the user manually from the Contacts component after you delete them from the User Manager

Fixing the above may fix this issue, as that error could prevent further import. Let me know if you're still having this issue, and we'll gladly help investigate. EasySocial integration is new, so may have some issues our testing didn't catch.

But another problem : Like a said before i am using K2 and easysocial component! When i am have the user profil k2 activated in the option of k2 and i tryed to connect or register with one of the social network i have a problem. It's giving me an error that the fields are not fill correctly! I think its filling the filed email with a username!

Now I did what you said i disable the contact creator, i deleted the user in contact components and its work BUT (sorry ;-P ) in easysocial nothing are uploading (avatar, timeline etc...). You need to know as well that i have in JFB configuration the Registration Component on Easysocial!!! Well like i said its work but without easysocial updates and without k2 profiles activated.

I dont know what i can do!!!

Do you have the K2 captcha enabled? If so, please disable that. We heard a report recently where it's not properly detecting 'other' types of registration than the standard Joomla, and therefore rejecting all attempts to register. There's nothing we can do about that, but disabling their built-in captcha (and even switching to Joomla's default captcha) should fix this.

You need to know as well that i have in JFB configuration the Registration Component on Easysocial!!! Well like i said its work but without easysocial updates and without k2 profiles activated.

Are you being sent through the EasySocial registration process properly when you click the social login button? If you disable the "Hide Imported Fields" setting in the EasySocial configuration area in JFBConnect, are the profile fields properly showing up within EasySocial?

Hopefully fixing the K2 User plugin issues will fix your other problems, but if not, let me know more details about what is and isn't working for you now.

1° The problem with k2 was fixed. I desactivated the K2 captcha and the registration with social network works. ;-)

2° About the Updates of easysocial. How can I know if i am sending throuth the EasySocial registration process properly ? Do you have a tips to check that?

Awesome! Glad to hear we could help with that problem.

How do you have the EasySocial integration configured? Are you using JFBConnect's automatic registration, or is that disabled? Is the "Registration Component" is set to "EasySocial"?

For testing in Automatic mode, you should just test to see if the user's profile (avatar, cover photo, and profile fields) are populated.
For non-automatic mode, you should be able to test to see if the profile fields in the EasySocial registration flow are either pre-populated with that user's profile data or hidden altogether.

If you're having issues, please let me know how things are configured and what is (or isn't) happening.
