I have JFBCConnect and JLinked installed.

I would like that only existing Joomla users could use social buttons to login to their existing account but make sure that people without an existing joomla account could not create an account.

My joomla 2.5 settings are preventing any Joomla user registration: Joomla settings

Here is my JFBConnect settings:

JFBCconnect settings 1/2
JFBCconnect settings 2/2

But if I try to login with a Facebook account that do not correspond to any existing account, I am still sent to a sort of user creation page...

Login with unknown Facebook account

What's wrong in my settings ?

Yannick,
There's a few ways to do what you're looking for. It takes some minor code changes, but we can guide you through that.

Can you let me know a few things first so I can give you the best solution:
* How will users be connecting their existing accounts to their social network accounts? The options for doing so are:
** User can login with Joomla and then use the "Connect account" buttons in the SCLogin module
** Automatically connecting the user to an existing account if their email from the social network matches an existing Joomla account.
** You want the "sort of registration form" page to display where the user can enter their Joomla credentials to map the account there.
Let me know which (or all) of those you want to use, as it will help us figure out least changes necessary.

Thanks,
Alex

This site is for a closed user group. All user accounts are created manually by a back-end administrator, so we can control exactly who is created and with which profile settings. The classical "register" link is disabled. Being able to create an account by pressing one the the social button is not what I want.

Another option I am thinking about is to make sure that anybody who register in the site via the social buttons get created into a "guest" user group, with no rights, until it has been approved and potentially moved into a proper user group. But that's not ideal either. I have some issues with Community builder user list, which show all users. I cannot restrict it to show only users from certain groups.

Also do you now what this message in the registration screen mean "Vous devez fournir une clé publique. Veuillez l'insérer dans les paramètres du plug-in" ("you need to insert a public key into the plugin") ? Which public key ? which plugin ??
