Hello there, Alex, hoping you can help with this one:

It appears that JFBC is interfering with the native social sharing options in EasyDiscuss. Please take a look at the reply from the Stackideas team below.

I'm wondering: what is the best route to remedy this?
a) Customize the EasyDiscuss template to replace their social widget with the JFBC widgets?
b) Disable the JFBC System widget? (This feels really wrong)
c) Something else I'm missing?

Thanks!

Because if you enabled this System - JFBCSystem , it will mess out your HTML code and cant override your HTML code. (Look at below screenshot)

Plugin Manager >>
If Enabled System - JFBCSystem > Save > Go to this page developers.facebook.com/tools/debug > paste your "example : discussion URL" > Click Debug screencast.com/t/7wZN0RkP > Final result : screencast.com/t/PD88VODWKbMq
-> screencast.com/t/q65YfM5xVu
-> screencast.com/t/hvq4hSjn

If Disabled System - JFBCSystem > Save > Go to this page developers.facebook.com/tools/debug > paste your "example : discussion URL" > Click Debug screencast.com/t/7wZN0RkP > Final Result : screencast.com/t/z3n1hOM3Se1
-> screencast.com/t/eTfRQuqlkNY
-> screencast.com/t/tr5DMrT1P

Can you see the different between above example?
If enabled it will override your original location discussion URL to naturallyborn.net/ , If disabled it will work it fine.

Notice : If you disable System - JFBCSystem , your discussion page below that "Sign in with facebook" and "Sign in with twitter" is wont't work already. --> screencast.com/t/89agl9K6

Amy,
From what you're describing, it sounds like there is an Open Graph default tag set to force the URL to always be for your home page. Can you check the Open Graph -> Configuration area and make sure you have no "Defaults" set, or if you do, post them here or delete them.

As for your site, I just checked, and it seems like the Open Graph output from JFBConnect has been disabled altogether somehow. The JFBCSystem plugin still looks enabled though. Did you do something to prevent our tags?

Let me know, and we'll gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks, Alex, as always for the swift reply. I'm not what happened, but this seems to have fixed itself when I upgraded. :-) I'm not complaining! Cheers, Amy

Amy,
Great to hear. We like issues that we (likely) didn't cause and don't have to fix!

Should it come back, or you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
