Facebook Login was created by dmware
I have followed step by step the JFB Connect video tutorial for Facebook and Google +. Everything seemed fine beside the ERROR CHECK which gave an empty page so I coulnd't do that and I skipped it.

Now when I try to login my Joomla Site with Facebook there is a popup which opens and then closes right away and nothing happens.

When I try to login with my Google + account it redirects me to a registration page.

I bought this component to avoid the registration page so I don't understand why someone would want to login with their social account to jump again into a registration page.

My wish is to give the possibility to the users to just authorize the Google+ or Facebook access and that's it, you're logged in and you can see everything you are alouded to see.

I am just a web designer, not a developer so I am sorry for any wrong wording. Thanks.

I'm not sure why the Error Check page is blank. Can you let me know if it's a completely white blank page, or if the menu on the left is showing but the main interior area is blank? We'd like to investigate this further to understand what's wrong.

As to your other questions:

Now when I try to login my Joomla Site with Facebook there is a popup which opens and then closes right away and nothing happens.

Go to the Facebook Developer Area and make sure that "Sandbox Mode" is disabled on your app.

When I try to login with my Google + account it redirects me to a registration page.

In the Configuration area of JFBConnect, change the "Registration Mode" to "Automatic". Then, read any of the other configuration settings in there to make sure the automatic accounts are created how you want.

I hope that helps get you going, but if not, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex, thanks for your prompt answer. Yes, the menu on the left is showing but the main interior area is blank.

The Google + process works great, however the Facebook one doesn't.

I click on the button and it correctly pops up with the login page and once I log in the site just doesn't do anything. I remain there at the same page dmware.com/log-in

Yes Sandbox Mode is disabled.

I'm not sure why the Error Checker tool isn't working. We'd need admin access to your site to investigate further. I don't think it's critical though as everything looks good to me when I manually check your site.

The Facebook login button isn't working because jQuery and the Bootstrap Javascript are not being loaded on your page properly. Please enable the "Include jQuery" setting in the Configuration -> Misc area of JFBConnect and that should get things going.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Hello, thanks for the support. The option "Load jQuery" in the Misc area is already on "Yes".

How can I send private message with login details? thanks

Before you send me admin credentials, can you try:
* Clearing the Joomla cache
* If that doesn't fix the issue, disabling the JCH Optimize plugin, which is combining your Javascript and may be causing the issue.
The reason I ask that is because our Javascript is not being included. If the Include JQuery setting is enabled, something is preventing it from loading, and we'll need to find out what.

If none of that helps, you can Private Message me the details by clicking the mail icon under my picture to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

The credentials you sent me don't work. However, I just realized that the jQuery library is being included from JFBConnect, but it's the older version. We released JFBConnect v5.1.2 yesterday which has multiple Javascript updates that should fix incompatibilities like you're seeing. Please try to update to that first and see if it fixes your issue.

Beyond that, now that JCH is disabled, I can see all the scripts that are being included on the page. Specifically, you have jQuery 1.8 (from K2), jQuery 1.8 (from JFBConnect), 1.7 (from mod_xpertaccess) and 1.3 (from you template) all being loaded. The problem is most likely being caused by all those jQuery inclusions, especially the really, really old v1.3 version.

I'd still recommend upgrading to v5.1.2 which could fix the problem, but you may also want to see if you can dwindle down some of those jQuery inclusions as they will speed up the page and prevent conflicts.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks Alex for your support. I have come to realize that it's time to change template. I have carried it forward enough. Think that this was originally a Joomla 1.5 Template from Template Monster so I think you can imagine what the hell we have done to bring it where it is now :)

all right, I am not sure how to deal with this type of site migration as there are 3 years of blog to move. 2 1/2 years with articles and 1/2 years with K2. Thanks again.

No problem for the investigation, it's what we do. You're already on Joomla 2.5, so a migration of your content shouldn't be necessary... just some updates to your template, if that's the path you want to go down.

Again, JFBConnect v5.1.2 has some big jQuery compatibility improvements that may be all you need to fix the issues you're having with our extension.. though I'd still recommend whittling down the jQuery inclusions you have for speed and compatibility purposes in general.

I hope that helps, and good luck,
Alex
