Hi,

I have a couple of questions:

1) Our Login with Facebook button has disappeared, the Google+ and LinkedIn ones are still there. See screenshot attached
2) Why are the social buttons (Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook) on the bottom left of the page (SCLogin Module), different to the the Login buttons at the top at the JomSocial Community login? I would like to have the newer ones as in the JomSocial login also at the bottom, but vertically aligned.

Lastly, do you also have Login with Twitter?

Thanks,

Andrew

1) Our Login with Facebook button has disappeared, the Google+ and LinkedIn ones are still there. See screenshot attached

Your site is offline, so it's difficult to diagnose what may be hiding the Facebook button. The solution below though may fix this problem as well though.

2) Why are the social buttons (Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook) on the bottom left of the page (SCLogin Module), different to the the Login buttons at the top at the JomSocial Community login?

In the SCLogin parameters, go to Social Button Settings and change the "Button Type" to "Icon plus text". That will use an image for the button and may also fix the missing Javascript based button you mentioned above.

I hope that helps, but if you have any other questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

I can give you access, put I don't want to do it on the forum (public space).

Really would like this issue fixed and looking good to launch, we are already running late with the launch of tonight.

Thanks,

Andrew

You can Private Message me by clicking the mail icon under my picture to the left. Please let me know what you're looking to have me do though. Since the site is offline, I'd need to make it Online to see the Login with Facebook button (since it doesn't show when I'm logged in).

Also, if you tried the Icon with Text setting, let me know about that too if you like it, if it works, or anything else.

Mainly, I just need to know what you want me to investigate and how you're comfortable with me looking into it (if the site can't go Online, I need to know).

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

I have had an issue (Main Menu Order) over the last couple of months or so, which I was also struggling to find the cause, but I just found it... When I publish the 'jlinkedcontent' Plugin it messes up our Main Menu menu item ordering.

See screenshots, please note it is 'jlinkedcontent' and not jlinked plugin as per note on screenshots.

So, to recap on urgent issues:

1) Facebook 'switch profile' issue - Having to click on 5 'switch' links on a single page - This occurs of course when I am using Facebook as a page rather than myself. see screenshots.
2) jlinkedcontent (possible) bug - not required yet on our site, but would like to know why it is causing this. (we going live today, so not really wanting to mess around too much on the site)

I will let you know as soon as I make the site live, so you can diagnose point 1 above.

Thanks,

Andrew

Disable the JLinkedContent plugin and switch to using the JFBConnect Content plugin instead. There shouldn't be much of a difference, but the JFBCConnect Content plugin is a little different and has more options, like Pinterest.

I honestly don't know how or why the JLinkedContent plugin would be upsetting the menu ordering; there's nothing in our plugin that even touches menus in general. The above is my quick suggestion to try for a fix though, if you need that feature.

1) Facebook 'switch profile' issue - Having to click on 5 'switch' links on a single page - This occurs of course when I am using Facebook as a page rather than myself. see screenshots.

This is the first time you mentioned this one, I believe. The answer, unfortunately, is that there's nothing we can do about it. Facebook does not let a Page click the Like button on websites or do some other things. The reason is because the Like button is meant to be clicked by real people and only one time. Since 1 user can create unlimited Pages, Facebook can't let Pages' click the Like button or it would be very abused.

I hope that helps explain, but if you have any other questions or issues, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
