Topic-icon Disabling like/tweet buttons for a specific article

Hi,

I am trying to remove the 'Like/Twitter' buttons for a specific article on our site (as demanded by a lawyer - ah yes). The buttons are now included in all articles 'by default'.

In previous versions, this was supposed to be possible by listing the article ID in a exclude list on the 'social' tab.

However, in JFBconnect v5.1.1 that field has disappeared. I did cycle through all the tabs, but with no success.

Am i overlooking something ? How can i achieve this in v5.1.1 ? Joomla is v.2.5.14 BTW.

There's a bug in the v5.1.1 release where the filters options aren't properly shown. To fix, go to the Content Plugin - Like area in the Social section and:
* Set the buttons to display in a category view (top, bottom, both, it doesn't matter).
* The filters will display at the bottom of the category section
* Set the filters how you want (exclude the specific article IDs to exclude)
* Then, set the buttons to no longer display in the category view (none)

In other words, the filters are still there and work, but the filters are only incorrectly shown in the category section.

The filters will be fixed in the v5.1.2 release to always show. That release will hopefully be out late this week.

Thanks,
Alex

Ah; i was already wondering if it was me (not impossible).

But yes - enabling/disabling the category views reveals the fields i need. Problem solved !

Rene,
Awesome! Glad to hear that helped, and sorry for the trouble. As mentioned, this fix will be in the v5.1.2 release later this week.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
