Nitish,
Can you PM me super admin credentials to your site? We'll gladly get the JomSocial profile plugin installed and diagnose a better way to check for the version once we're on your site so you don't have to deal with this going forward.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for sending the credentials. I got into your site and looked at the Joomal Extension Manager. In there, and in your picture from above, there's a row called "JomSocial that has a blank version number next to it. When JomSocial installs, it should be installed as "Community", not as JomSocial. My guess is that the extra "JomSocial" row in your manager is what's causing our version check to fail as it's getting that blank value instead of the "2.8.4.2 Pro" string from the Community row.

Can you investigate where that came from and uninstall that extension (which is likely not real) and test installing our plugin again. Obviously, please do this on a development site first as I don't want it to accidentally uninstall the real JomSocial extension.

Thanks,
Alex

Oh... if you can view the database, you can look at the #__extensions table, that will narrow things down too. Basically, check if there are 2 rows that have the 'element' name of 'com_community'. My guess it there will be, with IDs of 10001 (JomSocial, incorrect) and 10014 (Community, correct). If they are both there, that proves its the issue.

The SQL to check would look like:
SELECT * FROM #__extensions WHERE element = 'com_community'
I hope that helps narrow things down.

Thanks,
Alex

Awesome! Very glad to hear that got you going. I'm not sure why that extra line was in the Joomla extensions table, but it's good for us to know for future reference.

As always, should you need anything else, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
