Are they showing up in the Activity Log area of JFBConnect? If so, can you check if they are showing in the Activity Log in Facebook (click the "Activity Log" link in the bottom right of your Cover Photo to check).

Before your action has been submitted and approved by Facebook, it likely won't show up on the Timeline. Even when approved, Facebook will automatically determine whether it shows on the Timeline or not, and not all actions will appear there. They can also appear in the user's friends ticker, news feeds, and other areas of Facebook which can promote your site.

I hope that helps get you started,
Alex

Thanks for the reply.

I do not see anything in the activity log.

What info do you need to help me further?

How do I let users invite their FB Friends?

For Facebook Invites, if you haven't already, please read through our Facebook Requests configuration guide and let us know if you have any questions.

As to the Open Graph Actions in JomSocial not posting, can you:
* Either provide screenshots or details on exactly how you've configured the Object and Action in JFBConnect? From there, we'll hopefully see where something went wrong.
* What version of JomSocial you're using.

Thanks,
Alex

I'm seeing the following error in the Open Graph activity log:

Unknown path components: /accbattleslive:

I am using K2 and would like to post K2 views to FB,

Unknown path components: /accbattleslive:

That error means that the action type hasn't been defined. Can you verify your Action configuration in JFBConnect and make sure the "Action" is set. For reading an article, it should be set to 'news.reads' and the Built-in Facebook Action box should be checked.

Let me know if that helps or not, and good luck,
Alex

How can I get a list of what the FB actions are in relation to the Joomla components:

K2 -

Jomsocial -

I can get any of these to post to facebook.

How do I know when to check built in FB object or action.

Watched the Titleyoutube with the cat and hat demo and the set up was easy getting it to work has been a week of trial and error and no success.

There are features we support in extensions, like Voting in K2 or Uploading a Photo in JomSocial that you can see when you click the "New" button in the Action area.

The only Facebook "built-in" action that most users use is the "Read" (news.reads) action. For all the others, they are custom actions that you must create in your Facebook Application on your own. Once created, you can then setup the same action in JFBConnect to be triggered when a user uses that feature of the extension (voting, uploading, joining, etc).

If you haven't already, please read the full Open Graph Actions for Joomla Setup Guide which should hopefully explain things better.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks Alex for the explanation. Question though in looking at the food recipe demo you had to put the tags inside of the article for them to post to facebook. I do not have to place the tags in all of the K2 items for them to be posted Facebook?

No, you don't have to place any tags in your article for the Read actions. The only time you have to add a tag for an action is if you want to use an action button where a user can add their own message, tag friends or places and then click a "Post to Timeline" button to share that action on Facebook.

For actions like Read that happen automatically or (in K2) the vote or comment action that happen when a user does something in the extension, those do not need tags. Setting the action up in the JFBConnect action is all that's required.

I hope that helps,
Alex
