Hi,

I've got an error 500 at Registration with Facebook when New User Redirection is set to Same Page.
Please check my attached screen cap.

I have updated everything to the latest version (5.1.1).

Nothing should ever be linking to /component/jfbconnect, so that's where the problem is. We just need to understand why.

Can you tell me what SEF extension you're using and/or changing it's configuration to 'skip' JFBConnect URLs? The other possibility is it's something with your language extension, if you're using something separate from Joomla like JoomFish. I'd try disabling both SEF and translation extensions and see if that fixes the problem. If so, let us know what needed to be disabled so we can investigate further.

Hi Alex,

I'm using standard Joomla 2.5 SEF URLs and Falang for the translation.
The strange thing is that the symptom went away when I did the following:
1. I had changed the New User Redirection page to Home, as I said, in order to work around the problem.
2. I changed it back to same page.
3. I deactivated Joomla SEF (First option)
4. I reactivated Joomla SEF (First option)

The problem had been resolved at step 1, with the work around. I did not check if it came back at step 2. There was no problem at step 3, or 4. Now I have the configuration that had the problem, but without the problem. I assume it was an update problem from one version to the other and somehow flipping switches reset itself.

Ahh.. that does help explain it. With the 5.1 release, we removed a separate setting that was like "Enable New User Redirection" and "Enable Returning User Redirection" and instead added a "Same Page" option to the menu items. It removes an extra setting and made things cleaner (we think, at least). It's possible there was a glitch if you had it set a specific way previously.
