I cannot find the options where I can set the custom text to appear on users login and returning user's login. Is this removed or done some other way? For example When I login no message is being posted on my wall. How do I resolve this?

That feature was removed in JFBConnect v5.1.0. Above the Wall Posts configuration area in previous releases was a note about it's upcoming removal as well.

When Open Graph Actions were introduced by Facebook late last year, they updated their Application Policies to no longer allow automatic posting status updates on a user's behalf without notifying them first and letting them edit that message. The feature we had violated those policies and so it's been removed to protect our users from having their Applications disabled by Facebook.

Facebook recommends using Open Graph Actions now to post to a user's Timeline. Actions are more socially relevant and generally higher quality than the status updates.

I hope that makes sense, but if you have any questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Ok. Is there a way to allow users to explicitly post when they login?

You could easily add a button to the page the user logs in to and have some text like "Let others know you just logged in, click here". We can help tell you how to create the popup to do that.

There are no Open Graph Actions that can be created for logging in or registering as Facebook has stated previously that such actions will not be approved. Facebook thinks they are too low quality and not very relevant for the user's friends.

I hope that helps answer your question. If you have any other ideas or questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

With all these restriction and hardship to come up with og actions that need to work with other extensions (like my quiz start button for example), you need to consider a simple way of semi-forcing the user to like, share or send (default facebook options with minimum scrutiny) before accessing content using a POPUP

Examples below.

Ratna,
We agree that's something we like to implement in the future. It's in our to-do list, but I don't have an estimate of when something like that would be available.

If you have any other feedback or suggestions, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
